Jeff's Dodge WC54 Ambulance***Finished***
Re: Jeff's Dodge WC54 Ambulance
Decaling is completed now so it is about time to wrap up this little lot. The last project I finished was the Jeep ambulance and the Micro Scale decals shattered. I turned to Micro's Super Film to salvage the remaining decals. On this project, fearing the same due to age, I gave the needed decals a coating to be safe. When I use Superfilm the layer over the original film becomes a little stiff. To counteract a coating of Solv-a-set is used. But you have to watch the edges of the decal as they have as tendency to curl. Thinking now the cause may be from cutting the subect right up to the color line when maybe I should leave a "tad" of carrier film exposed. Remember that a Tad is slightly more than a smidgeon. So now after an evening of setting up, dull coat will be applied.

Looks fantastic Jeff, the decals look just like they were painted on.

Thank you guys.
One other addition was done to the outside rear view mirror. I have a small zip lock bag of chrome coated acetate discs. Using a punch and dye set, I cut out a disc and glued it into the recess of the mirror. You can make out the reflection of the circle next to the doors.

Super duper looking build Jeff! Now are you going to build a M*A*S*H chopper to go with it?
