Thanks John, the markings are from the kit which is meant to be a RN boat but Airfix got the colours wrong as it seems that USN boats were grey (with possibly green below the waterline) and RN boats had the blue/grey disruptive with the grey and red undersides. I think the USN code system was different also. My model is better than the straight Airfix kit but it is somewhat generic as I can't prove the identity or the colour scheme. As for identity USN boats flew the Stars and Stripes and RN boats flew the White Ensign and other than that I can't really say how close I got to this one. As I learn more I will adjust things.

Well, generic or not, that has come out very well David and is a great improvement on the standard kit.
