I used the decals for this on my Blitzed Matchbox P-47 last year so it was a prime candidate for this GB.
The markings I'll be using are from a Superscale sheet for the Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate.

Re: Tim's Japanese Jug
I'm interested to see how well this kit builds up. Came close to buying it a few times but never did...

Re: Tim's Japanese Jug
I think that'll look good, Tim. Are you going with green over grey or an all-over colour scheme? Or that nice green squiggle over silver? Do the squiggles!

No squiggly ones on the decal sheet unfortunately.
Here are the sprues.
I should be making a start later today.

Well, atleast you've made a start Tim. This should be an interesting one. I'm hoping to start mine tomorrow when I'm back from the bbq party at the camp site near the sea.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Re: Tim's Japanese Jug
The wings have been assembled and fitted to the fuselage. I did have to use some plastic strip to fill the wing root gaps but apart from that the fit isn't too bad considering the age of the tooling.

I blitzed one of these a few years ago. I don't remember the fit of the wing roots being that bad.
Soon be painting time!
