I'm going to call this one finished. the windscreen is not great, but I'm not going to make much of a difference now. Everything else, I am reasonably happy with. I can even see my passengers, if I look through the windows.

Not an easy build by any means, and Airfix really need to retire this kit! If you are forewarned that there are significant problems with the nacelles, transparencies and the undercarriage, then it's easier to build. If you try following the instructions... :omg

I like the colour scheme, and I will do one of the Eduard Nieuports in a similar scheme. I'm very glad that I opted for a light grey instead of a metallic colour, as that would have shown up a lot of defects

We should have another one of these group builds next year, they're fun!

cheers

Nice colour scheme, Andrew!

And good work on a terrible kit! Really, Mr. Airfix - retire this one immediately! (And give us a new tool one instead!)

Thanks Paul, it was a bit of an effort!

A new tool with an option for Lycoming engines and three blade props would open up a lot of possibilities for upgraded post-war civilian aircraft.

Mind you, a new tool Beaufighter and/or Mosquito would be much nicer still :)

Georges will be pleased with his new aircraft! Two engines! A nice, warm, sealed cockpit! And it lands on water too!
A great build, Andrew. A dog of a kit and you've turned it into (very nearly) a silk purse. And it looks really smart in those colours to boot!
Well done, mate!

Great finish Andrew, this is an old woofer of a kit that really does need to be retired now, but it looks very good in those markings.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!
