Nice, the old dog has some life left in it yet - as Mrs W says to her mates about me

Coats of satin varnish to seal the decals on top (last night) and underneath (this afternoon). I've also repaired two of the rigging lines which had come adrift, added the wheels and the propellers.

Image

I still have to add a couple of aerials, rigging line and the exhausts. I may have to scratch build the latter - the kit parts are rather feeble. There are also the carburettor (remember those?) bits on top of the engine pods. I cut off the original vague plastic shapes and I will replace them with two vague brass rod shapes :ha:

cheers

Almost finished! 8-)

Image

New, more substantial exhausts installed.

Image

Outlet pipes on top of the engine nacelles.

Image

Masking removed from the windows (without knocking in the port side passenger windows  ).

Image

Tyres repainted and a tailwheel from the spares box (probably a late model Spitfire retractable specimen!) added.

Image

The only thing that is not so good is the framing around the windscreen, which I hope to sort out tomorrow.

cheers

I've been working on blending the canopy in more with the fuselage. It's better, but not perfect. I still need to scrape the excess paint off the windscreen with a toothpick.

Very close to finishing now... :)
