Nice work David, I have never seen a build with the control column locking bars in place before. Great idea for a change from the norm.

A very clean build so far, and the idea of the control lock is excellent. Look forward to seeing this one finished.

With the airframe now complete I have now painted the model in HSS- or rather Revell Aqua alluminium 99, this is about as bright as Hu11 but has no reflective shine and dries matt. Here the model has had three thinned brushed coats.

Cheers Tom, Splash but the kudos should really go to the Revell acrylic- it is brilliant, self levelling, heavily pigmented & can be applied very thinly, far thinner than Humbrol arcrylic will stand.

Looking good there, very similar to my F8 in sprue layout. The Airfix is obviously Xtrakit via MPM then. I see the headrest is different.

The model has been decalled and varnished and now just needs undercarriage and drop tanks to complete.
