Cheers, guys!

Almost there.......

Got the decals on a bit earlier. Roundels from Xtradecal, individual markings from Modeldecal and serials a mash-up from my spares box - it is regrettable that Modeldecal didn't always include serials for all their options. I understand why (space, and the need to promote their serial sheets), but 30 years on, it is just plain annoying...

Now I need to get the undercarriage on, do some weathering and a final coat of varnish, and we'll be done.

Lovely work there Paul, I have somehow overlooked this build. Never dared to do a resin kit but you made this one look great.

Cheers, Chip! The key with resin is to clean up the parts very well, then to use a slow set superglue.

Great choice of markings Paul, adds just enough colour to lift the day fighter scheme.

Beautiful. I do like the cage canopy NF's and T7's. Something slightly Gothic about them.

With 30plus options on a MD sheet imagine how big they would have been to include all the serials as well!. I just print series off as it is relatively easy and avoid mucking around with individual alpha-numerals.

As my printer prefers whole sheets to go through it, it would be a bit wasteful. I do tend to wait until I have a number of serials to print off before doing them - as I did with my Spitfires/Seafire earlier in the year. I can add a few common letter combos to the mix as well. This build is a bit solitary though...

My printer prints the page top-down, I therefore place the next set of decals at the bottom of the page. The page gets shorter from the bottom up as I remove decals, so the printer doesn't freak or jam.

Well, as with my F.4, this is as done as I can get done during the week - it still needs a final coat of varnish, but I only use the airbrush on the weekends.

Anyways, here it is:

More in the Gallery.

Overall, I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. Clean up and assembly was a bit more work than I'd expected, but it looks OK.
