Looks like you've got the fit problems licked.

Way to persevere Paul. The meteor is turning out quite nicely. It is light years ahead of the old matchbox kit I tried to build a few years ago.

That one had sucky fit too.

Cheers, Ralph - I haven't tried my Matchbox yet, but I've heard ugly rumours...

The Matchbox kit I built for the NF14 was nowhere near as bad a fit as I'd been led to believe. But your PJ NF.11 is light years ahead as far as detail is concerned. It looks like it'll turn out very nicely the way you are going so far.

That's an hour of my life I'll never get back....

Got the cockpit bits in:

Next step is to glue the canopy on and start spraying the upper surfaces.

Added the canopy, then a coat of black over the cockpit region to represent the interior framing, finally a coat of Dark Sea Grey on top.

Should get a camo coat of Dk Green on Sat AM, then a sprint to the finish!

Green on and she's unmasked:

A bit of touching up to do here and there, but not too bad. Need to mask off to paint the black radome. Tomorrow.

Canopy turned out pretty well - I'm pleased:

I seem to be out of step with many, but I prefer the early NF & trainers with the framed canopy to the late bubble models.

That's looking really good Paul, I didn't realise what a big aircraft that NF meteor was. Nice one.
