This has gone together quite nicely, with only a smidgen of filler needed on the wing roots, and on the bottom where the wings meet the fuselage:

I have decided to replace the navigation lights with clear sprue, but still hope to get some paint on this weekend.

Looking good Chip. My wing roots only had issues on the trailing edges. Different, eh?

Probably my bad.... :-D

Having replaced the navigation lights with clear sprue, I have also fitted the canopy and masked her up for spraying:

This would have got done at the weekend but SWMBO had other ideas.

At last some progress to report.

I have managed to get it sprayed up, and the undercarriage attached:

I am going to leave her up on blocks for 24hrs to make sure the undercarriage is solid enough to hold all the weight.

Since the picture I have put a coat of klear on ready for the decals. I still need to paint the yellow strips on the wings and attach the undercarriage doors, but I should make the deadline.

Thanks for the support Paul.

One thing I have learnt about this unseasonably good weather we are having is not to leave the canopy masked up for too long:

Image

The glue reside gave me a bit of a fright, but after trying to remove it with a) more tape, b) water c) screen wash, I finally succeeded with a bit of white spirit on the end of a cotton bud.

Having avert this dilemma I am pleased to say that she is finished, and it sits on the wheels :-D :

This has been a bit of a stress-full build for me with work getting in the way of my modelling time. The kit itself is a really nice kit and when I get more time I will definitely be doing another, but in silver this time.

Thanks for looking.
