Back from holiday but it was just too hot to do anythin last week. Managed to get an hour last night. Cockpit is mostly complete plus the wheel bays and engine fronts were added to the lower wing. I have a little bit of painting to do in the pit then she can be joined up.

It depends whether the model depicted has the earlier or later uprated Derwent engines. The uprated had the wider intakes and the earlier ones the narrower intakes. But many of the earlier F8's were later upgraded with the uprated engines and wider intakes, so in theory certain F8's could have had both during their life spans. Or so I've read...

Got the pit together now and the wings are joined up. Had a bit of work getiing rid of the step on the nacceles and jet pipes, the plastic is quite soft and care is needed not to flatten them off. Will join the wings to the fuselage tonight. Once the seams are taken care of i can get the paint on. Doubt i will finish by tomorrow, work and holiday ( plus heatwave) have kept me away from the bench.

Well, don't rush it to meet the deadline - enjoying the build is more important than finishing to an arbitrary deadline.
