A very simple kit with little detail, but the outline is basically correct and fit is pretty good. The 40 year old decals worked surprisingly well, both the kit roundels and the Modeldecal individual a/c markings. Overall, a nice little build.

I'll take some better photos for the Gallery tomorrow.

Well, that looks rather good! Did you rescribe it?

I have had some ideas how I might deal with the 'blunt' nose you mentioned, when I build mine.

Those photos make you realise how massive those engines are in relation the rest of the aircraft especially with those stubby wings. I agree with you that it definitely looks the part though and a cheap way of getting an F4

Andrew - I did a bit of re-scribing, though not all of it. I am awful at scribing round curves, so I tend to avoid it if I can.... :roll:

Great result Paul! I agree with James about the engines, they make such a huge visual difference when compared to the earlier marks.

Amen to that! I am also coming to the conclusion that you don't need to rescribe every line to get a good effect.
