Thanks guys, still lots of filling & sanding to do.

I have not touched this for a week or so, a long weekend away & sunny weather have kept me away from the bench. I did manage to paint the crew & install them last night:

Image

I won't waste too much effort on the cockpit as none of it will be seen through the thick canopy!

The engine covers are a terrible fit but I guess that is to be expected with a kit of this age.
Next I will close up the U\C doors & fit the canopy ready for painting - once I am happy with the sanding.
I got lucky with an Ebay bid on some decals which included the squadron shield that I needed. :-D

Hope to get more building done soon.

Keep at it OT, this old stager will keep you plenty busy enough with sanding and filling!

I am sticking at it guys, just too much else happening of late.

I have managed to close up the canopy. Too many panels to mask off so I will do the frames with decal paper once painting is complete.
The filling & sanding is just about done though:

The glazing is on but has lots of gaps that will need some PVA. I have also started closing up the U\C doors which don't fit the holes. Hardley suprising!

I am hoping to get a primer coat on this weekend.
Bye for now. :smilie_flagge3:

Wow, that thing does have an appetite for filler OT. Hopefully it'll look fine once the primer is on!

I got some trusty old Halfords grey primer on last night & I think the old girl is scrubbing up pretty well. :)
Just a bit of a seam line where the two fuselage halves join at the top:

Hopefully I can smooth that out tonight, prime again and then add some colour. 8-)

Into the last week now, will I finish on time! :???:

Apologies guys but I am not going to complete this one one time & I don't want to rush it just to finish.

I will get as far as I can & post some images.

Sorry once again it's just that life has gotten in the way this month.
I will post some images on my workbench when completed.
