Yes I agree, the paint looks great Ralph. As indeed does the figure - that head looks very human, unlike the ones I've been known to paint

Thank you guys.
It was nice to do some modeling again this weekend.
The first finishing steps were to
1) apply a satin clear coat to the upper hull and turret
This is for decals, but also because it looks more like painted metal than a dead-flat finish. It also sets off the upper hull from the really dirty lower hull, which is left dull.
2) applied a heavy wash (filter) of vandyke brown oil paint onto the lower hull.
Next, a pin wash of black and raw umber oils will be applied around the raised details to accentuate shadows.
