Re: Pick a Blitz for me.....
I think it would be cruel to expect you to paint all those stripes on the PT...
... didn't stop me voting for it though or the 6 engined do-da
BTW Has Mrs Ian expressed a preference?

Good question, James. I will ask her shortly and vote on her behalf.

What's the idea of voting anyway?
We all know Ian can't resist and he will be blitzing all four of them!

Not this time, Sissel. We're planning on going camping for two weeks in August. I know that leaves me another two weeks to Blitz but the little Ians are off school for the summer hols and they will expect me to do stuff with them - you know, feed them, take them out, play with them.....

More than likely I'll be on holiday when you're busy blitzing but seeing as you asked the rabble of the forum to choose, I've gone for the PT boat, as not many boats get blitzed and the Luft '46 Arado because it looks great.

I would have though that starring as the alien family in the Argos ads, you'd be able to afford a nanny for that kind of thing (sorry Ian, but I couldn't resist)Ian wrote: the little Ians are off school for the summer hols and they will expect me to do stuff with them - you know, feed them, take them out, play with them.....

You know, the more I look at the PT kit, the more I am convincing myself that I can actually do the dazzle pattern......

You've convinced me Ian, I'm sure you're man enough to paint a few stripes on a model boat in 24 hours - how hard can it be?Ian wrote:You know, the more I look at the PT kit, the more I am convincing myself that I can actually do the dazzle pattern......

I know I want to.
And you're right, Shaun, how hard can it be?
I've had another look at the plastic this morning and I think I've worked out how to do it. The time-consuming bit will cutting the masking tape into strips......
Maybe I could do it beforehand? It would only be like using a canopy mask. Just on a slightly larger scale.

Re: Pick a Blitz for me.....
What are you thinking, spray it white mask then spray green?
What could go wrong you have 24hours, time to build both kits

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
Re: Pick a Blitz for me.....
Black first, mask, white, touch up and black, green deck etc. Job done.
Sounds simple, doesn't it?
