Sissels Israeli Ouragan + kittens alert ** FINISHED **
So here we are again. February seems long gone now, just six months ago. My hope, apart from having fun, is to blitz more than I did last time. Which means six. I have seven kits bought for this occasion, plus a few others I think is blitzable.
But I will follow the poll. So my first kit to blitz is this. Can't go wrong with this scheme.
Box remains unopened, and the obligatory sprue shots when I start. First I hope to get rid of this respiratory infection, had it for 1,5 week now and am getting darn sick of it. Was actually playing with the thought of blitzing yesterday, but as I get tired early in the evening I quickly banished that thought.
Today would have been perfect, thunderstorm and rain again. But I'm stuck to the couch.
See ya!

Open the box, Sissel. You need to. Read the instructions. Check you have the right colours. Plan you build.

Already did that. Yesterday I spent many hours figuring out right paint on all my blitz subjects, and then conversion into Vallejo and Revell, so I have ordered what I needed.
All under control, Ian.

Well done. I thought you might be OK but when I saw 'Box remains unopened' I started to worry.
Next thing is do you have enough beer?

I always remember the first time I came across the Dassault Ouragan (French for Hurricane), I misread it as the 'Dassault Orangutan'

Re: Sissels Israeli Ouragan ** Date TBA **
Of course it's really the Bloch Ouragan as Marcel Bloch changed his name to Dassault during WWII, as Bloch was too identifiable as a Jewish name. Dassault (French for Battle Tank) was the code name used by Marcels brother Darius Paul when he was fighting in the Resistance. So it's really the 'Battle-Tank Hurricane'

I have absolutely no knowledge of this aircraft. Thanks for the little history lesson, Bluesteel. Interesting.

Nice to see this up as Blitz No 1 and an interesting bit of history to go with it. I'm trying to squeeze our smallest laptop into the luggage as I think the hotel is offering free wi-fi so I can follow some of the blitzes whilst I'm away, especially if the weather turns bad, as can happen in the mountains Best of luck with this one.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Thanks very much. We're off to Austria where we do a bit of hiking as well as drinking lots of their lovely beer! When the weather is great it is really great, but when it rains.....oh dearPrisca wrote:
