And we are off and running at Rockingham.

The layout with the unstarted kit:

Yes Nemo joins the fun again and Bruce the shark is not far behind.

Step one awaits the paintshop:

I have to say right off that I am using the photoetch but the kit parts are very nice and the photoetch (except for the belts) is not needed and you really are not gaining anything here.

Now, time for a strong cuppa and think about from breakfast

Looks like a really nice kit.

Good luck, I will check in as much as I can during the day.

This is looking sweet, Jeff. You seem, I repeat, seem more relaxed than me. I still can't decide between beach, blitz, both or what. Luckily my kit isn't that big.

Waiting for the breakie pic :)

Tough decision Sissel. Don't envy that one. Relaxed, I don't know. But I do love the blitz so I WANT TO BE HERE.

Overall, no snags with this kit. Good fit with only one spot where filler will be needed so far.

Feel like a little 60's British Rock comin' on. Maybe the next break.

OK time check and overview:

Some more efforts:

Some of the kit over-engineering:

And a "goober." A good blitzer would not do such things.

I forgot to mention that the wing cannons are complete with breeches atc, but you can't see them so to save time, not painted.

Still pleased with the kit so far.

This is coming along great, Jeff!
But not sure what you mean with a 'goober'. I'm either blind or just in the unknowing.
Do you mean the spinner ring was to be on the inside of the cowling??

Sorry about that. A Goober is a mistake, a goof, something along that order. I am having a hard time still posting today. This post tells me that it will not recognize the picture size.

Here is the overview:

Image

Seamwork using Tamiya Surface Primer.

Image

Flap redo. The flaps are moulded with a ridge all the way around the piece. Since I believe that the flaps were wooden and flat, out comes the sheet styrene.

Image

Posting has been a little difficult for me today so I haven't fooled around with you tube much.

Cracking work with this. Even some 'scratchbuilding'. I'm impressed. :)
