Re: despondman's FW190
Although there is still quite a bit to do, getting some paint on the main body of the model gives a good feeling of progress.

Lessee. Six hours overall time. I think you are doing well. Glad you are not forgetting about the munchies. Blitzes take a lot out of you.

Re: despondman's FW190
I know it doesn't seem like a lot of progress to last time but there is more than can be seen. Underside is also painted, and I've done some work on the undercarriage.
Your not wrong, far more demanding than my usual hour here and hour there pattern of modelling. Its time for a break now though, so the next update will probably be 8:00pm.jssel wrote:Lessee. This is going really well! Had to go to the beach for an evening swim, and getting back I see you've done plenty.
Great pace you hold. Just don't forget to drink and have some food. A break will do you good. Recharged batteries coming back to the bench.
Keep up the great work!
What music are you listening to, if you are?

Did someone mention cricket? Must be time for a song!

Re: despondman's FW190
I've had the test cricket commentary on the radio. It's a bit of an institution over here, some people watch the cricket on the TV but switch the TV commentary off and have the radio commentary on. People who actually go to the ground and watch take a radio, or you can buy one there, and listen to the radio commentary. The commentary is as much about what cakes people have sent them, and what buses are passing the ground as it is the cricket......about as hard to explain as cricket itself.Prisca wrote:What music are you listening to, if you are?

Well I've had tea, jacket potatoes, chicken kiev and feta cheese salad, and done a little more, but now its on to the make or break part of this build - the green mottling. Either it will go okay, and I will finish with an okay effort, or it will be a disaster and that is the blitz over as I will not have enough time to recover things.

Mmm salad with feta cheese, that's just yummy. Had tuna fish salad earlier. Chicken kiev looks yummy as well! Nice food display.

Great meal. Yum Nummy! If my calculations are correct, you have lots of time. I think you can do it easily now. Are we talking hairy stick or airbrush?

Judging by the paint palette I vote for hairy stick

Nice looking meal. This has come on great guns. Mottling is a difficult effect to get right. Go for it, at the end of the day it's a blitz and a model built in this sort of time period will not, generally, be your best effort. That's not what it's about though. It's about the challenge and it'll look fine I'm sure.

Re: despondman's FW190
Could have been better, but could have been worse, so I'll take it.
Re: despondman's FW190
Now that is well done. I like it a lot.
