Plane is clear coated and I'll doubt I'm awake when it's dry, so having to get up very early tomorrow (I'm off at 11 am) to put decals on, prop and undercarriage.

From picture it looks like there are three shades of blue on the back wing. I dunno why that little dot near the yellow is darker, it's the same paint! :-D
I also see the clear coat looks as if it's miscolored areas, but it's just really wet, it will dry nicely.

Been a rather quiet and lonely blitz day, not many people in here.

I don't believe this. It was supposed to be a late start after beach & BBQ.
So I thought I'd check in and find that you've nearly finished! Not only that but been out eating lollies, eating, drinking beer (surprise surprise) and you've even thrown together the startings of a -109. On top of that you've been posting some good music. Much better than the rubbish Flak normally puts on.
You retain your 'Blitzbau Queen' title.

Looking very nice.

I have got Jethro Tull, Aqualung going on my side at least via CD. Martin Barre, my vote for best guitarist ever. Well, maybe after Clapton.

That is a sweet little plane. Great colours.
It will be nice to see it with the decals on.

Thanks very much, mate!
You talking about that autumn band? :-D :-D
And the Me 109 builds itself, went together quicker than this HB kit!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! Much appreciated. And thanks for watching.

I just checked, and the clear coat is still sticky. So I've been working on the 109. Nearly 11 pm and I'm getting very tired.
If I'm going to be able to get up at 6am tomorrow to finish this I need to hit the sack now. I better not oversleep!

I'd have liked to have been around more for your blitz, but took my old mum out for the day.
I see I missed some impressive food and drinks - oh and of course the model. Looked a bit weird clear, is looking good painted.
I've also learnt that YouTube music vids are an essential part of blitzing.

Great work Sissel. I'll be at work tomorrow when you are finishing the build but I will try and sneak on during break time.

All the best.

Good morning all!

Decal session begun. After pic were taken there's been some small 'disasters'. Mainly the long thin decals which I feared. Cutting in two or three separate doesn't work either, it cracks by the touch. The other decals have been perfect. No issues and a pleasure to work with.
Due to the decal mess and me trying to fix I have to go over with paint to try touch up decal irregularities.

Here is just before I started. Next pics will be the completed plane.

I NEED COFFEE!!!!! :-D

Oh, that is simply cause I spent more time off than on the bench, and I was concentrating on eating ice lollies in the garden. :ha:
And not all alcohol consumed got infront of the camera this time. Will get better in next blitz, I promise. ;-)

I'm calling this done at 9 am. Whoo!

There were troubles with the tricolor lines, they cracked almost by the touch. I kept it in one piece on one side, with less decent result, it cracked and had to fix up with paint. So on the other side I divided into three, but it still cracked when placing it on model. More paint to fix where I could fix.
Then there's the tail sitting. Wasn't possible to place more led in than I did (fuselage wouldn't fit cause there were too much!!), so I guess my question is; how do you prevent it from being a tail sitter?

It's been a bit of a weird blitz for me. A bit boring I'm afraid. This plane is so tiny, and there's hardly any pieces (probably why it was a bit boring). My first HB kit. Fit is perfect. Great decals, apart from tricolor lines.
I spent more time doing other stuff than blitzing. This is a model than can be completed in less than half a day, if paint dries quickly.
For a quick, easy, fun and different build, this is a model I can reccommend. The plane is fun as well. Not often I build something civil. ;-)

Anyway, here is the little birdie completed!

Morning Sissel. Nice to see Ugly Kid Joe making an appearance! Haven't heard that track for years and years and years.
The model looks great. Despite the issues with the long decals they look like you've gotten them down OK.
That's a really unusual subject on this forum and it looks to me like you've nailed it! I like the aircraft and the colours and markings. I might pick one of these up if I see one.
Well done! That's a keeper.

(I assume you didn't get enough weight in the nose, though. :ha: )

Thanks. Ugly Kid Joe does have some great songs. Cats In The Cradle is my favorite. Waaay back I mistook that song for Guns'n Roses! :-D

I was sure to put as much in as there were room for (fearing to crack the fuselage!), and as it was so heavy up front I was certain it would not be a tail sitter. How wrong was I.

:bounce:

That's one blitz completed. Only the rest left.
And I hope to do a better job with them.

Great build here. Funky little plane with a funky colour scheme and very nicely executed.
