Here we go then - 1/4 past frog and it's done in just under 9 frogs!
I would have posted the pics earlier but Mrs. Ian was on the laptop.
Here we are for now. The beauty shots will have to wait till the sun comes up.

Now that's purdy.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Thanks guys. Just waiting for the sun to move round so I can take some more photos.
I think this is the first HB kit I've built (maybe 'built' is the wrong word) and although the cockpit detail is very sparse the surface detail is very good. This was also well thought out in terms of the joins following panel lines. This was more an exercise in painting than actual building but that said it was a fun model and it looks the part. I'll probably get some more HB kits now that I've tried one and enjoyed it.
If anyone was wondering, the paint scheme is Games Workshop Salamander Green / Castellan Green over Tamiya XF-23 Light Blue. The wheels were GW Battle Green and the tub GW Mechanicus Standard Grey. Other colours were GW Graveyard Earth and Boltgun Metal and some Revell Anthracite.
I much prefer using Humbrol enamels but during a Blitz acrylics are the way to go. Unless you have an airbrush. Which I don't. Yet...
