OK. I'm ready for the off. Pic here to tell you what I am attempting. Strictly OOB and it has to be done in one 24 hr session.

Yes, It's the Airfix Space Shuttle stack. (I must be mad!!!)

All the best.

OK First break point. Main construction of the Shuttle's airframe is done. As there is no interior in the cockpit I have painted the insides of the windows black. So far filler has been used on quite a few of the joints and it's drying as I type. Next step is to assemble the boosters and external tank. Pic time.

Am working on the SRB's and External tank. Slight warpage on the tank and one of the SRB's but nothing glue and tape can't cure. Pics to follow very shortly.

All the best.

Cheers guys. I have a few Shuttle kits to build including a 1/72 one one to do post flight on the ground and a couple of 747/Shuttle combo's too. I see a load of black and white paint getting used in the future. Pics soon but time for a break whilst I find my battery charger.

All the best.

What's in the purple bag? Something salty or chocolatey?
(Not diminishing your build in any way. Just curious.)

Chocolate biscuits. Was doing a late nighter so I needed the choccy fix. Pics following later today - of the build so far, not the biscuits

Good Morning Jeff mate.
Here's the pics as of end of play last night though I have started paint on the external talk and shuttle but those pics didn't come out usable. . With luck I'll be able to get back on with this this afternoon.

Cheers Jeff. The piece of music is called Suo Gan and is a Welsh lullaby. It was used in the film Empire of the sun in the scene where the Kamikazi aircraft took off.
