Great to see something underway OT. I've just come back from my jollies and what better whilst Mrs W busies herself unpacking the cases than to check out a blitz :ha: Brave move with a bit of experimentation in a blitz and some cool rawk tunes too 8-)

Busy cooking dinner for the munchkins now but just time to show you the camo scheme.

Image

Not too bad, just a couple of touch ups needed. I will let that dry then Klear coat it after dinner.

Just to have a practice I painted this Hurricane that I had laid around (as you do. ).
I did this freehand just to compare with the Spitfire.

A little off track for me, some Jam.

I usually only have jam on my toast! :ha:

Now to throw some pizzas at the oven.

Looking good OT. The hard edged demarcation to the camo rather than a soft edged free hand is more accurate for an RAF machine. Breaking off to cook dinner? cool hand OT! When I do one of these mad builds I seem to spend all of my time at the bench and then only just manage to finish!

Thanks guys.
I am quite please with the camo demarcation so it was worth the effort.

I have just stuck the U\C legs on and touched up a few places on the underside where paint had bled through. I also painted the rudder white in preperation for some red paint. Once that is done & dry a coat of klear will be applied. I might even break open some booze.

Chilling out a bit to.

Klear coat applied, just waiting for it to dry.

So time for some black current drizzel cake. Black currents from the garden, yum.

Keep at it OT. I'm loving the old skool HM on here. I used to have long hair back in the day and played in a heavy metal band you know. We used to specialise in Bon Scott era AC/DC and Iron Maiden. Them were t'days laddie.

Oh yes, I agree wholeheartedly. War Pigs is one of my favourites. Good one that OT, featuring the lyrics too so that I could "sing" along 8-)

Decals from Turcoise decals behaved beautifully. Check them out:

It looks great in those Turkish markings OT. A Maiden classic too. This is, surely, the headbanger's blitz :-D

Soz, but I'm having an early night as I've been up since the crack (some would say cack) of dawn travelling home. Hope you manage to finish up and I'll have a look in the morning.

This is going really great, OT. Nice markings.
And I like that you've copied some of the music from my last blitz! :ha:

Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Black Sabbath ;-)
