Food should be included as part of the Blitz, not a precursor!

Cosmic is busy carving a flying boat from plastic - their is shrapnel flying all over. :???:

Image

The Revell Mustang looks pretty good although I have read it's not that accurate, good enough for a Blitz though. And at less than a fiver in my price range.

Image

I should have done a bit more research but this month has been a bit hectic so I will just have to follow Revells instructions. Anyone know what colour a P-51B seat should be?

With a brekky like that, you two boyz should get off to a great start. Soz, but I've no idea about the seat colour OT.

Wow, time flies when you are butchering plastic.

This is Cosmic's collection of flash. :???:

Image

That's just what landed on the table!

Here is a clock shot to prove the time:

Image

Cosmic has just gone home because he forgot his wallet this morning! What a muppet.
I don't think he is enjoying the Be-4 at all & I would not be surprised if he doesn't return with a different kit. :-|

The Mustang interior is together:

Image

Not brilliant but you will not see much through the canopy.
Lunch will consist of crisps today as the brekky is laying a bit heavy. I'm glad I had my pre-blitz bowel movement now. :ha:

OK. Well engaged. Seat color looks good, food excellent, enough plastic scraps to mold another kit. Situation well in hand.

And we are all still fully closed. ;-)

Cosmic is AWOL coz he has lost his wallet. He's not having a good day.

On the other hand the P-51 is coming together nicely. Fit of the wings is excellent.

Judging by the amount of plastic lying around, I'd try a different kit if I was Cosmic, that is taking too much effort for a blitz. P-51 looks to be coming together much easier. Who's getting the parmos in?

I will certainly be partaking. Not sure what the others will be having but it won't be healthy. :)

The Be-4 kit is a real shocker, so far Cosmic has beaten it into this shape:

Image

But the wing fit is a nightmare - I think the parts are from a different kit! :???:

Image

I spent a lot of time masking the Mustang canopy. I can see why people model the bubble canopy versions.
But it's done now.

Image

So next up - its primer time. :-D

Image

Meanwhile its all been a bit much for Cosmic, he is having a nap. It must be the relief of finding his wallet.

Image

This Blitzbau is all happening back to front! :ha:

The Be 4 is getting beat into submission. Nothing a belt sander can't fix. But a nap during a blitz. That is a new standard.

The P-51B is a lovely kit. You'll have no issues with that OT.
The Be-4 looks to be another story though. Once Cosmic wakes up, suggest he tries to batter that central wing section into shape with a sledgehammer!!!!

The Mustang is now getting painted.

Image

I used Xtracrylix XA1113 Faded Olive Drab. I like it a lot although it may darken with a coat of Klear. The underside is a light grey colour.

Cosmic was arisen from his slumber like a new man. I think he must have been a blacksmith in a previous existence.
He has hammered the Be-4 into this shape.

Image

We may take a break for dinner now.
