Onwards and upwards. Actually felt like modeling today ( ), so took advantage of this surprising turn of events to work on the Norseman. She's up on her legs now, and I also got the struttery in place too - without breaking any of them! Masked off the windscreen - the fit on that was a bit iffy, but I used Perfect Plastic Putty to fill the small gaps on the lower left - I'm really liking that stuff. Anyways, a couple of pics:

Oh, and I know the engine isn't there..... ;-) The cowling is tacked in place so I can airbrush it without getting paint all over the engine.

Tomorrow, I might break out the airbrush.....

Nice work with the legs and the struttery. I built a Revell reissue as practice for building a naked Matchbox version... still have to build that one! The Revell version is now a testsubject for airbrush sessions, getting the legs straight and balanced had not worked out too well. So I know it´s not as easy as it looks!

Paul,

I'm sure you're glad to see some progress on it. I always like getting a kit up on its knees; it feels like I'm getting there then.

Thanks all. :)

Brush coated another coat of Neutral Gray on the undersides during the week and I got the Olive Drab airbrushed on yesterday:

A coat of Future was added late last night to cure overnight, then this morning (just now...), I got the decals on:

The OD looks a bit green in this photo, and the Future really darkened it up. It'll look better when the Dullcoat is on, and I take outside photos.

I had printed up a set of serials for it, on clear decal paper, but they were too translucent, even doubled up, so I'll have to find another way to represent them.

Cheers, Tim. I ended up hand-painting the serials, as I had nothing suitable in the spares box. Doesn't look too bad.

Aaaalllllmmmmooooosssssttttt done......:

Just needs a Dullcoat, and unmasking, and a little weathering. Hope to be done today. :)
