Re: Titan's build( Nearly decided )
I have now managed to whittle it down to three ( before any suggestions come flying in I have time for one build only...so no I can't build all three. )

All great choices, but I'd like to see you do the Heyford.

All good choices, but the Heyford will really do the GB justice !

Re: Titan builds a Heyford
Thanks Guys.
Here are the usual opening shots.
A few bits broken but nothing that can't be fixed and the decals are going to be usable so it's all good.
I shall most probably build the MkII although that could change to the MkIII later on in the build.

MKIII
MKII
MKI
The bomb bay will be closed and the rear gondola will most probably be in the down position, the rest of the kit will be OOB and not rigged.......... ...ok I was only joking about the rigging pilots will be added though so you have been warned.

Re: Titan builds a Heyford
I've been spending time on getting the crew finished which I have now completed and added a floor to the interior, I thought about adding some rib detail to the sides too but to be honest once the crew were added you would not be able to see it so I did not bother.
The rear of the fuselage was also painted interior green and then glued to the top section which intern was glued to the cockpit section.
I raised both the pilot and co-pilot up about 4mm as they were sitting far to low in the cockpit and in reality would not see anything over the IP.
I have filled in a few gaps around the joins and will get to work on those tomorrow and maybe get the tail section finished if I get time.
The windows have been added but will be punched through and I will glaze them with Kristal Klear once the painting has finished.

Wow, those crewmen do look good.
Unusual concept (for me), what is your thinking behind this method?Titan wrote: The windows have been added but will be punched through and I will glaze them with Kristal Klear once the painting has finished.

Re: Titan builds a Heyford
I should have made clear Chip that I was actually referring to the small round windows at the back of the cockpit and not the big windows at the front but using the kristal Klear for those small windows will make life easier as I will not have to use any masking medium on them as they will be used as the masks themselves.
The engines have been glued together and I will work on the joins in the next few days.
The tail section has been assembled but I will leave the support struts off until the main painting has finished to make said painting that little bit easier around those areas.
White putty has also been used around the join and maybe will need another thin application to complete the job, we will see what the primer shows up later.
The lower wings have been assembled and the bomb bay has also been added but the gap around it is quite large.
So some white putty filling was needed but the result is much better.
Test fitted the engines to the lower wing which needed a little work to get them to fit correctly.
All of the joins will need to cure properly before finishing them with some Microcloths but I am pleased with the progress so far.
