Sorry for the delay in responding, I have not had much bench time or internet access due to work and the arrival of a new 55in 3D TV at home that has kept me pre-occupied.

The Swordfish is wearing the post war RN DSG/Sky colours, I don't think many of them got re-painted, but apart from the Station Flight a/c at RNAS Arbroath up in Scotland.

The more I look at it the more I like it, it seems to suit the a/c.

If you have built the Airfix Swordfish floatplane you can use the unused wheels on the Matchbox kit as you can see Matchbox wheels aren't that bad but the detail in the Airfix wheels will look better.

I think the Airfix wheels look considerably better Splash, that hub detail lifts them nicely in comparison to the typical '70's MB wheels. The Airfix wheels also feature a nice weighted look.

At first I thought the Seafox was a small a/c but when next to the Swordfish it looks quite big

I really like the Matchbox Swordfish its so straightforward to build and looks good..

For an old kit, Matchbox did well with the amount of detail they moulded on the engine.

The flash has made it look brighter than it is, all I have done is give it a coat of dark silver and a oil wash of Payne's grey.

Until you started building this, I wasn't aware that any Swordfish wore this scheme.
