Sweet. It's a lovely kit. Looking forward to watching the build.

All the best.

Thanks, Splash.

Never seen this one built, so looking forward to watching your progress. I like the fact that M'box have captured the two different blues / reds for the roundels.

Martin

All gone I'm afraid, its a shame as I had to pay a lot more than 75p

I have started the kit and first impressions are good the date stamped on the inside of the body says 1983 so its 30 years old.

The surface detail is typical for its age with raised detail and slightly over sized wing ribs.

Having built the Airfix Swordfish in silver I think it suits the interwar/early war period so will build this in silver. The cockpits have no detail but I think if I add the two crew this should fill the empty space.

John Menzies (pr. mingiss in my old neck of the woods - with the Ming as in Ming Campbell) was taken over by WHSmiths in 19oatcake.

I have recently noticed some Airfix Starter Kits being stocked in my local Smiths and so the wheel turns . . .

Sorry guys the SeaFox build is off, due to missing engine parts and float supports that are short moulded.

Having just spent a lot of time scratch building on a Frog Barracuda I wanted this to be a simple OOB build.

So my cunning plan is to stick with the Naval Bi-plane theme and build the Revell re-box of the Maatchbox Swordfish.

The Seafox will get built but not in this GB.

That is a shame but totally understandable, a plus for me though as I have a MB swordfish down to build in the next month or so and this will be great to get a few build tips.

Thats a shame, I was thinking of getting a Seafox and hoping to see how it built up.

Looking forward to seeing a stringbag though!
