The Mossie looks truly amazing! Blue and yellow always look good together, then with those invasion stripes. Wow!
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Looks very sharp in those colours.

Neat idea to use decal strips for the canopy after all the other painting is done.

Some really positive comments, there, guys. Thank you very much!

Inching slowly towards the finish line (I don't want to rush and spoil it at this stage), I have finished the canopy framing, added the serial numbers, then dotted some blobs of Humbrol enamel MSG paint about and feathered them out in the direction of the slipstream. You can just see this in the pics. I then re-kleared the aircraft and added a smoke wash to the control surface hinges and selected panel lines.

Tomorrow, I hope to give it a satin varnish coat and get started on scratchbuilding some mudguards. I still have to do the frame lines on the navigator's cupola, add radio aerials and engine exhausts, and klear the windows in the nav's compartment, the landing lights and the camera apertures.

Martin

Many thanks, chaps. Your comments are much appreciated.

Had another reasonable night last night; the Mossie is now resplendent in its satin coat, the nav's side windows and other apertures various are glazed, and I made up some (pretty gash looking, tbh) mudguards. Tonight I hope to do the framing on the nav's cupola and get the mudguards, gear doors and intake guards for the carb / air filters on.

After that, it's about there - exhaust staining and tail Pitot tube are all that remains. I'm still hoping for a finish in the alloted time.

regards,

Martin
