Cheers Paul, should finish this one! Had this kit as a nipper and loved it, becoming quite hard to find at reasonable prices now. I think the sharkmouth is a must.

If you don't do the sharkmouth I will be very upset! It's a great choice.

How disappointing! From the thread title I thought this would be full of pics of a ginger scouse singer . . .

Don't think my other half would be too impressed Martin! Mind you , she's not keen on plastic kits either!

Very nice choice mate - I look forward to seeing that one come together. I've always liked the shape of the "Gina" but strangely enough I've never made a kit of one yet. I do have the Italeri 1/48 jobby in the stash which I think has the same scheme as yours on the decal sheet (along with 5 others - gotta love Italeri's generosity with their decals).

He're a photo of the real McCoy I took at Malta Aviation Museum a few years back for inspiration (albeit sans Shark Mouth!)

Work has commenced, primed the innards and made up the under wing stores, a dry fit shows the wings to have positive locations and just a small bead of Vallejo putty will hide the seam. The paint callouts call for aluminium undersides but Beany's pic looks more grey. I may just go with the box instruction.

Beany, the picture you post, is a G91R, not a G91Y. :-)

All the Yankee of the 32 Stormo, based in Brindisi, wore a Sharkmouth.
Sometimes the talent consists exactly in that: try five dozen times when others stop at three dozen...! (F.Labelle)
I think that modeling is a subtle mix of zen philosophy and absolute crazyness - but in my case I would not dare to specify the respective percentage of each......

Here is where upto at the moment, undersides painted aluminium, ready for masking off. I added a generic cockpit just to give a semblance of dials etc. The wheels and weapons are ready and put aside til after the decaling. I hope to get the top colours on this weekend.

Nice work Shane, it's good to see this is coming together. I think the IP detail should just be nicely visible once the glass is on and should look fine, particularly as the pilot/seat combination is filling the rest of the void.
