Re: Nursing at the drogue ....
Thanks, Splash, I had an Hu102 suggestion earlier and will go with that .... close enough for me ...

Re: Nursing at the drogue ....
Just need decaling, which I hope to do on the 30th.
I'm going to ask for a 1-day extension for these and the Victor and all should be done, maybe even hanging from the ceiling.

Given the amount of work you've done on multiple builds, I have no problem with that.

Thanks, Martin ...
I changed my mind and did put a gloss coat on these -- and I cut all the decals out.
Everything is ready for a decaling Blitz tomorrow ....

Re: Nursing at the drogue ....
Decal session today ....
All organized ....
All done ....
Amazing how much fun modern decals can be ....
I believe I'll skip the MicroSol, they seem to be laying down well and I don't want that to carry me over an extra day or so. That means after a couple hours to be sure they are dry, I can do the semi-gloss coats then peel off the canopy masks ....
Getting there, Martin ....
PS: you cannot see the two on the left, they aren't Matchbox ....

Re: Nursing at the drogue ....
OK, here they are .... Seems the semi-gloss coat over a gloss coat is more glossy than semi ....
I have not mounted the Redtop missiles and I have not, obviously, mounted them on the ceiling or stuck their probes into their drogues -- I expect all that to happen Thursday, but for now ....
This is done. The Matchbox kit is in the lead, of course. In retrospect, I was a bit too aggressive taking down the raides panel lines but then I also had more fit issues. The two Revell ones look a tad niftier with the reduced but not eliminated panel lines. A lesson for next time, if there is one.
Another lesson is to not attach the refueling probe until the underwing serials are on.
I will post an "aerial view" in the Aviation forum, maybe dioramas also.
