VV's 11th hour building Fury *** Finished ***
Inspired by seeing Furies built by Saxon and Titan in this GB (and a bit of Sopwith fatigue) I've decided to have a bash at putting mine together. With only 3 days left on the GB it will be a bit of a blitz
It will, of course, be a Biggles whatiff as per my usual modus operandi. I will be building the "Launcester Lance" from Biggles Goes to War.
http://www.biggles.info/Details/15/;
Some minor modification should transform it from a Hart into the Lance shown in this illustration:
http://www.biggles.info/Details/15/Titlepage.jpg;
So, here's the kit, together with some Maltovian markings I had thoughtfully printed up earlier. A few bits from the spares box may be used for the undercarriage.
On with the show!

Very nice VV, I have no doubt that you should have this finished on time as it such a simple kit and it does go together very well and simple to rig too. I will look forward to the end result.

Re: VV's 11th hour building Fury
Thanks! It will be several orders of magnitude below the standard of your build but I'll try to at least make it resemble an aeroplane.
You're right. It is a nice straightforward kit. As always with Matchbox.
The cockpit is pretty sparse. Squared seat and a floor.
I rounded off the seat, added sidewalls to it, built an IP and joystick and added some tube framework from aluminium rod. Not great, but at least looks more like a cockpit through the fairly small opening.

Current state of play. I'm calling it a night.
Photo doesn't show it but oil paint woodgrain has been applied to prop. Will need a day or two to dry.

Excellent VV and fast work. That is a good effort with the cockpit interior, certainly a vast improvement over what comes in the box. Best of luck, I hope that you can finish in time.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Re: VV's 11th hour building Fury
Good choice of subject!
(Which reminds me I still need to build the Beechcraft from "Lost", but that's slightly offtopic)
It would be great to see this one come to life!
You will need to put the book behind the plane in your cabinet permanently...
Also makes me think, perhaps one day we can see how many interpretations, color and decal schemes are possible based on PK-1. But that would be another group build.
Cheers,
Reinhold
