When I started my Tempest F.6 I mentioned that I had a part completed Tempest II and Martin said that he would allow it as part of the GB when the F.6 was finished so here it is. As a contrast to the F.6 it will be finished in Dark Sea Grey/Dark Green over PRU Blue as PR772 of 33 Squadron, RAF Kuala Lumpur in 1951 using decals from the same sheet as the F.6.
This is how it was at the start of the GB.
After some filling and sanding it was given a coat of primer.
Then it was time for the camouflage. This is how it stands at the moment.
The underwing serials overlap the undercarriage doors a little on this one so I'll apply them before I cut the doors up.

Another great looking Tempest Tim, although it has to be said that out of the two main marks of Tempest, I prefer the more brutish looks of the Tempest V.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Re: Tim's Tempest II (in more than one sense)
I got the decals on this morning. The roundels are from an old Modeldecal sheet and the rest from the Model Alliance sheet.
By this evening it is almost finished, I just need to add the pitot and give it a coat of varnish.

With the frenzied end of GB activity from some of us, you could be forgiven for thinking its Blitzbau time....
Nice work there!

Re: Tim's Tempest II (in more than one sense)
After a couple of coats of varnish my second Tempest is finished.
As you can see the underwing serials silvered quite badly.
Here's a pic of the Tempest duo.
