A few beers inbetween frames might help with the fun.Old_Tonto wrote:Progress has slowed somewhat as I am masking the canopy.

He is very quiet. I don't hope he got fed and up smashed it. I could have done that.
Or just forgotton about the canopy and stick to the beer.

Re: OT Does a Springbok
Sorry for the lack of updates, been dealing with a broken boiler the last couple of days. Still no hot water. Anyway I have made some progress.
I got the pilot painted & installed. Sorry, forgot to take any pics.
I masked the canopy eventually & painted the frame work interior green. It was at this point that I realised the canopy fit was awful. It met at the front but looked like it came from a different kit at the back end!
Anyway after a few hours work I got it attached.
So next up I covered the lights & engine then applied a coat of primer.
I always feel like its getting somewhere once a coat of paint goes on.
So after leaving it overnight I got a couple of coats of silver on.
So that's where I am up to. Now to plan some masking.

Sorry about the boiler. It's a good thing you didn't have an 'Ian-day' while working on it.
Texan coming along great, and it looks like you won that fight regards canopy fit. Looks good.

Re: OT Does a Springbok
Thanks for the comments all. The silver should shine up nicely under a coat of klear. I hope to experiment a little tonight spraying orange paint.
