Great work on that interior Paul mate. Nice one.

All the best.

Hi Paul, how are you feeling? A bit better, I hope.

Your work looks great, the resin seats, etc. really bring the interior to life!

Looking forward to seeing some paint on it :)

Cheers, everyone. Didn't get much more done on it and no paint in the end. I'm losing my mojo again....need to find a modern kit with little filling and sanding to do, I think...!

What I really need is a big project, something non-modelling. I'd spent a year planning our European vacation, and with that done, I have too much time to think and no focus. I'm done with writing aviation books (being burned twice will do that to you...), so I'm toying with travel writing at the moment, but it isn't grabbing me the way I'd hoped. It's frustrating.

Something will come.

That sucks Paul. Don't work on the model if it feels like forced. Been there, done that. You're suppose to enjoy it.
I hope you find something to keep yourself occupied. How about starting to play chess? :-D

I love chess - used to play every day, I'd be usless now though.

Sorry to hear of your problems paul, writing a darn hard game - my wifes trying to publish her novel and getting nowhere!

I hope you find something that engages your brain soon it can be really trying being directionless

It's a confidence thing. I have no confidence at the moment, and I'm not modeling to the standards I know I'm capable of. That means it's not fun for me at the moment.

What I need is a nice, confidence-boosting completion...

Come on Paul!
There's only one thing on this planet better than modelling....... ;-)
I'm talking about chess, of course.

I think that modeling is a subtle mix of zen philosophy and absolute crazyness - but in my case I would not dare to specify the respective percentage of each......

With Barbara (my partner) i have a perfect score.
In three years: Played, 161, lose 157, win 2, null 2.
As you can see, I'm not a great player, but why stop to play?

Regards. ;-)

Anyways, in late news, some modelling broke out today.... :ha:

Got the Harvard on her legs, and the prop glued on - small progress, but progress nevertheless. ;-)

No photo, but I've also been framing the canopy with aluminium-coloured decal striping.

Might break out the airbrush tomorrow. The weather's been wet for the past few weekends, but the monsoons have gone and tomorrow is supposed to be dry.

When the Harvard is finished, accept a chess challenge? :)

Great to see you've got your Harvard up on her legs and the prop glued on :) I'm sure the canopy is looking great too!

Progress is progress, however small it may be. I'm sorry you're feeling a lack of confidence and hope that it passes soon.

I hope you feel like getting out the airbrush tomorrow, but don't force yourself. And I'm glad to hear that the monsoons are passing and that the rain's drying up :)
