Hi Stuart.
I know the feeling. Life kind of bit us in the rear this week as Sarah has been quite ill again and that has kept me from the bench. Looking forward to seeing this one moving ahead.

All the best.

Hi Greg, sorry to hear that, I hope she feels better soon!

I shall endeavour to continue tomorrow.

Bit of progress today, part painting on sprues and starting to assemble the PE ips. I'm waaaaaaaay behind the rest of you!

No pics as yet - not really worth any yet.

I notice that acadamy do a RoKAF F-51D, I might have to get that, they'd make good stable mates

Keep at it Sir T!

There's still plenty of time, to be honest I never thought I'd be this far with my build. You'll be surprised, all those little bits and pieces will soon come together.

Looking forward to some more updates ;-)

There's lots of time left, Stu. No worries.
You'll be surprised at how fast this kit goes together. I'm done with mine today. So that is five days as I started on Friday.
Just a fantastic little kit. You'll enjoy the build! And with those fantastic PE bits it will be absolutely stunning.

Thanks Sissel :-)

It is a great little kit, did some more on the pit today, assembled the floor seats etc and gave it and the side panels a dark brown wash. I also slapped the wings together so I actually feel like I've built something!

I should hopefully finish the pit tomorrow...maybe :-)

mnmmm... not too impressed with this Humbrol wash, its dried to a gloss varnish like finish, very odd. Its totally ruined my paint work.

I shall have to re-paint over the top and start again. I can't seem to do anything right at the moment, everything I touch turns to Smeg - perhaps I should give modelling up and take up needle-work instead?

oh-well backwards and downwards...

You'd only end up with tiny holes in your fingers and copious amounts of blood everywhere. :ha:

This is a shame to hear, Stu. I know your feeling exactly!
I've had some of those runs, where everything goes bad. For a while I always had decal troubles with my builds, seemed like a curse.

Maybe a few days break will help? Then come back and hit it again. :)

And don't even think about needle work, pick chess... CHESS!

Will do, I'm going to blow a clean coat of green over the side panels and redo them. I really like this kit and I want to do it justice.

I've had a bad time of late, everything seems to go for a burton - but ho-hum I'll get there.

My main problem with Chess is I've no one to play. :-( - its a great game though, very challanging to play well ( not that I'm anywhere near your level)

Sorry guys, I think mines a bit of a non- starter. I had a 'real-life' weekend and much more of the same this week.

Thanks for the idea though - it's a cracking model and I look forward to finishing it!

Great finishes you guys and gals - great work!

That's a shame, Stu. But real life often comes in the way, no worries.
Will keep an eye out for it in your WB thread. :)

That's a big shame my friend. Still reality does have to take the front seat sometimes. I've been kicked by it recently but with luck I'll get some kitbashing done tonight.

All the best.
