Real Harvard/T-6 Photos

Post by PaulBradley »

Rather than take over the Historical References thread, here's a thread for photos of real Harvards and T-6s.

I've taken a few over the years; here's a sample illustrating some of the many different colour schemes worn by the T-6 Harvard family.

First, some real RAF aircraft (well, A&AEE):

EZ407, RNHF, HMS Daedalus, 1986

And various warbirds (I don't have all the serials for these):

This one is converted to look like an NA-50. Taken at Luke AFB, 1995:

Hope you like some picture I've taken about the Texan (Canadian built, ex RAF) preserved in Vigna di Villa, Italian Air Force Museum, in Italian Markings.
"All-Orange", was the last livery of Italians T6.

I think that modeling is a subtle mix of zen philosophy and absolute crazyness - but in my case I would not dare to specify the respective percentage of each......

Great pics! Here's the one I'm building.
Hanging at the air museum in Bodø. Too far away for me to visit.

The shots of the Boscombe pair took me back about 40 years to RAF Bassingbourn when the open day had a Harvard fly in. Sadly I didn't possess a camera in those days:(
