Re: MarkyM607's Vampite T.11
Nice one Mark, the cockpit detail on this kit looks to be very good. Wasps? not good if they've made home in your house!
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Re: MarkyM607's Vampire T.11
Thanks!, not much added to the cockpit although I might put some ejector seat handles (want to stick to OOB really). Luckily there's only one Wasp at the moment, keeping it away from the Scout in case they make a Waout!!

I once had a music LP called "Sounds of the Wasp" if you turned it over there was a "Bee side"

Anyway, back on topic. Here are a couple of pics of the Vampire. Managed to break on main wheel leg but it all glued back together when the door was added!!.
So far so good!.

That's coming on strong Marky. What's the tape doing? holding the bits together whilst they dry? (sorry for being a bit thick, it's my speciality )

Re: MarkyM607's Vampire T.11
Not a problem. I often use tape to keep bits together while gluing/drying, saves having to hold them for ages!!. Sometimes bits touch but do not stay touching and need a bit of persuasion to stay together. The long bit from wingtip to wingtip (not really visible in a top view as it is underneath!!), is keeping the wing angle while it dries, I found a small gap along the underside where the wing meets the fuselage but the tape lets it set without the gap (pulls the wing close to the body and closes the gap).ShaunW wrote:That's coming on strong Marky. Re: MarkyM607's Vampire T.11
I thought that might be the reason, but for some reason doubted myself and therefore posed what might appear to be a bit of an obvious question I usually have models festooned with various clamps and rubber bands!
