Those were my thoughts as well Chris when it came to this GB, I'd become a little tanked out and hence the return to aircraft modelling.Chris wrote:..... need to do a plane for a change.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
We seem to all be done now. I'll write up a summing up later on today as I'd better get some work done for now. Alas, I don't get paid for building models........

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I'm glad that you enjoyed the GB Spearjig and ended a lengthy period without making an aircraft model
OK, here's the stats:
17 participants building 20 models with 12 finishers, which is just over a 50% completion rate. Not at all bad. I enjoyed this GB very much and indeed I am continuing to enjoy my build - pity I couldn't have finished it in time however
Many thanks to all of the entrants, who provided some great subjects and to all who watched and made comments along the way - all of which adds to the GB experience.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
yup, thanks Shaun. [double thumbs up]
I only got one finished, and hardly touched t'other two.
Will the build threads be kept open so I can add to them as I get those ones finished?

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Alas no the threads will not be kept open. In accordance with standard GB practice, after a day or so for any final comments I will ask JRatz to wrap it all up and the GB will be locked and archived. On...err...previous occasions that I've failed to finish I've used either the section of the forum appropriate to the subject (in my case aviation and armour) or have used my Workbench Window thread to finish up the build. On this occasion, however, we have a finishing up GB just starting that I will take full advantage of

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I managed to get mine finished a day late which wasn't bad considering I was about three weeks late starting.
Thanks for running the GB Shaun, there have been some great builds of some interesting subjects.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Many thanks for your kind words boys and I'm really glad that you all enjoyed it. From my own point of view it was a hoot and some really great models have been built here. I hope to have my own model finished in the next few weeks - I just got too carried away with the various modifications to the standard kit to really have a chance of finishing in a 1 month time frame. But, hey, it's a lot of fun nevertheless
OK boys, now Tim has made a sterling effort in effectively blitz finishing his Bird Dog, I now consider this GB done and dusted and will PM JRatz later today so it can all be archived. Once again, many thanks to all participants and watchers!
