pilotgas (gregs) A4-B skyhawk

Post by pilotgas »

just opened the box and removed the fuselage from the sprue.....

1mm chunk out of the tail... options were cut sprue true, and sand, or accept missing chunk, fill and sand....

i'm going with the later as at least this can be done symetricaly....

i'm going backwards before i'm going forwards.... HAPPY DAYS

Welcome aboard Gregs. If you get the chance, it would be nice to see some photos of your kit - and just as a reminder, please don't start building until 1st October, which is the official start of the build. If you have already started then I won't tell if you don't, but the build is supposed to take place between the 1st and 31st of October. Happy building!

ok... i'm doing a default A-4B skyhawk (already problematic) but i think i'll change the numbering and fuel tank layout, and possibly weaponry, as inspired by this picture, which looks highly unlikely to have been taken over vietnam and they dont carry any weapons.... but anyway.... it's just that there aint too much pictorial info out there, so assumption must rule (but i'll put a note in the historical references thread) in this case... i'm pretty sure i can be pretty accurate with a little more research....

the bombs and tanks don't go on till the end anyhow, so i can bide a bit of time on this issue....

here's the inspiration:

heres the kit:

sorry about the picture application, i seem to have lost my right click paste ability on url's, apparently it's a chrome / firefox issue, but it is really doing my nut....

again ..... |HAPPY DAYS

Lots of good words are around about this new Airfix offering, looking forward to this.

Sympathies to the Girly, I too do 12+ hour days in the city, it takes it out of you. (And no, please don't hate me, I am NOT a banker!)
