Wow, that's stunning to my eye! Fantastic work. I agree, the post shading is very effective here, and helps 'break up' the even surface.
I'm not sure I'd attempt to blitz this with that amount of decals, I'm a really slow decaller.
But it's a great kit and I'm tempted to get one.

The decals aren't as bad as they look, the decals on the side of the cockpit in front of the air intakes are all on one decal. The only decal that caused problems are the intake warning red lines, I found it easier to paint the intake red and just use the red triangle with the warning message, the red lines that go inside the intake need to be shorten for them to fit, apart from that they all went on well and settled down with no silvering.

I do the same with my 'intake' decals, Splash. Much easier!
Speaking of decals, I like the post shading you've done but the decals don't have that same effect where they go over a panel line. Not a criticism, just an observation.

I agree with your approach to the intake decals Splash. Decals that are designed to fit around intake lips rarely do in my experience and it's easier to paint the intake lips as you have done.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

I'm giving the decals 24 hours before I add a pin wash to the decals probably using Payne's grey as a wash.

Looks awesome the shading helps break up the grey nicely.

Ian I have now added a thin paynes black pin wash to some of the panel lines and decals, what do you think?

I'm now on short finals to the flight deck with this one, minor things to add like the refuelling probe and jet pipe plus paint the windshield.

Wow that looks good! The pin wash on the decals certainly helped too. But allover a fantastic build, Shaun Alan.
I also agree that painting the intakes are far easier than using decals, I do that myself.
