Hey folks!
After being requested to post photos of my Tram collection on another forum I have an idea which hopefully you will all like, I want to create a thread here on UAMF were everyone can post pics of their models and the real deal and talk about everything to do with Blackpool Trams Past and Present.

So to kick start it here are a few photos from my collection:

Balloon 257 "Bruce Forsyth"
Image
Balloon 715 "Blackpool Transport"
Image
Balloon 721 "Michelin"
Image
Balloon 719 "Walls Icecream"
Image
Balloon Tram 701 "Blackpool Transport Engineering" Currently Under Restoration from being in the same Green and Cream Livery as 715. Image
Brush Rail Coach 284
Image
Brush Rail Coach "Blackpool Pleasure Beach"
Image
Brush Rail Coach "Mystique"
Image
Brush Rail Coach "Sealife"
Image
Balloon 707 "Blackpool Pleasure Beach"
Image
Balloon "Empire Bingo"
Image
Balloon 666 "Iron Maiden" or 702 Princess Alice.

The white Balloon Tram maybe going to be painted into either Iron Maiden colours of some sort, it may well be Flight 666 colours but who knows, or it will be converted into an open top version close to 702 Princess Alice.
Hope you like this idea, il post updates on 701 soon.

A nice collection Maverick. Are these kits or die cast models, and what scale are they?

Thanks!
They are all 1/76 scale OO Gauge Trams.
The parts to convert the all white Balloon Tram have arrived and I have decided to paint her into the same or a simular livery to what Princess Alive has.
More updates will follow.

Those are great. I only remember the green and cream livery. When did they start doing sponsored paint jobs?

Hi Maverick.

Rode my first Blackpool Tram in the late 1940s, not as swish as the current breed. I only have one model to remember them by, this is the Corgi Balloon version 720 "Valhalla", which I rode on a few years ago.

Robin.

Those look great.

I remember many, many journeys on these with my grandparents in the later half of the sixties/early seventies. They were fascinating to watch too.

My favorite was "Return to Uncle Toms Cabin please", to see the boating lake.

Yeah these trams bring back fond memories with my late Nan.
My favourite is the Michelin Tram!
Id like the illumination trams too but they only come in kit form at a huge cost!

Whose kits Are you using? I have encountered a few myself. Tower plastic range are fair and can be easily made to run for a layout. HPC or Mark Hughes kits are nice. But as for ELMTS kits... (Cottage industry) they are a challenge ... need a lot of fettlin and a very good reference book!
