Very nice Andrew. I'm joining you in the hope that adding the air brake doors won't turn it into a sitter!

There is an ominous rattling sound from inside the fuselage, which means some of the ballast has shifted! :omg

Yes the Sabre looks good in colour, and I intend to do another couple of colourful Sabres in 2014. I didn't get anything done last night as I was decalling the Harrier!

After doing most of the decals on that Harrier, taking three nights, I got back to "Getting Things Done" tasks.
Most of the bits are now on the Sabre. I have unplugged the blu-tack from the jet inlet and added most of the undercarriage doors. The outboard doors have been painted and should be ready to add tomorrow.

There's also the pitot tube to fit - I always leave that until last, and quite often forget it altogether

The balance is now extremely precarious. I may have to insert some weight into the jet inlet, that'll make the pilot's eyes water... :omg

cheers

The Airfix kit is excellent, builds up really well - all you have to do is look for a good colour scheme!

Looking good Andrew. How about a hidden weight in the nose wheel bay? A little lead wire could be feasibly disguised in there or a piece of solder could easily pass for a conduit or duct.

Good idea. I haven't got any lead wire, but there's some solder somewhere around. :)

Looks good Andrew. The solder should work if you want a bit more weight in there but, if she's reasonably well balanced and only tips back under a bit of provocation, it might be more trouble than it's worth.
