OT's Corsair Calamity

Finish off those kits which are stalled on the workbench, languishing on the sidelines, or lurking on The Shelf of Doom.

Lovely. I really like the dark blue of these aircraft. It seems to suit the Corsair so well.

Don't sweat knocking off an aircraft wheel. we all do it, especially me. In fact, a wheel just fell off my Jagdpanther  .

Looking good with the main colour going on OT. I nearly always knock stuff off handling models, very frustrating and no matter how careful I try to be, it still seems to happen!

Thanks guys, I'm glad it's not just me. :)

I finished the painting:

In order to replicate the over painted roundals I will spray a slightly lightened coat over the original kit decals before applying them.
I will then add the new roundals over the top. Do you think this will work?

Thats the plan anyway. :-D

I also sorted the wheels & U\C. I will leave any aerials off untill all the decaling is done.

I still need to add the rocket rails too. I keep forgetting.

That looks great OT. I've seen examples of overpainted markings replicated by very light coats of the main colour being sprayed over decals that have been applied to the model. I've never tried it myself and I hope your cunning plan works!
