Thanks for the replies all. The Cd's as bases came from Splash a couple of posts ago, they are a nice size for these smaller kits.
Got the decals on, all 7 of them. One of the front ones broke a little bit. Sealed them on with a coat of Pledge

I have never had, nor will have, any CD's by ABBA :ha:
But here is the base

Image

Ran a black sharpie round the edge to hide the yellow edge from the wet n dry

Did some dry brushing to the Saladin

And sitting on it's base

I'm going to crush up some cat litter and glue that on along behind the vehicle, I'll also give the wheels and lower hull a dry brush with a dusty colour. I can see this being finished

That looks great and the CD base idea is a very good one. I always preferred the brunette in ABBA.

Did a little more drybrushing on the wheels and lower hull using a light dust colour.
Crushed some cat litter and glued it to the base.
Added Saladin to the base.
Finished

Interestingly, both kits have the same registration number.
Thanks for all the input everyone.

Looks fabulous! I like the idea of using CDs as a base. Will try it out.

Great looking Saladin Nigel and a simple and effective base. We'll done on finishing and getting another model on display.

I like the big Saladin too. Got any more pictures?
