I shall have to have a bash at this GB - I've been a fan of the IIIC since I was a little kid. My problem is which one, I have everything from a 1/100 Revell through to the 1/32 Revell beastie, by way of 1/72 Airfix, 1/48 Italeri as well as the 1/48 Italeri Kfir C7. It is a shame in some respects that the GB is limited to the IIIC as I have the Heller Mirage IV in both 1/72 and 1/48 as well in the stash.
OK, I think I am leaning towards the Kfir, with a 1/100 IIIC chaser if time permits.
Cheers
Al.

Welcome abourd with anything you have. The GB is not limited to the Mirage IIIC, it is any 'Derivative' of the Mirage III. I think the final list we agreed on was:beany wrote:I shall have to have a bash at this GB - I've been a fan of the IIIC since I was a little kid. Re: Sign-up and Chat
I am starting slightly later than planned and although I intended to get the Airfix III to build in early guise I have not yet got hold of one so will go for a PM models Mirage/Dagger kit from the stash, this will be built in Dagger guise and work will begin over the coming weekend. I will open the thread with the usual box and sprue shots at some point before then.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
the PM one seems popular for such a dreadful kit...

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Anyone trying the AML kits? I gather that their "Mirage IIIC in Foreign Service" boxing (retooled from the earlier ones) is the best 1/72 Mirage on the market at the moment... though it's quite hard to find, it seems!

Beautiful box art and very cheap seems to have fooled a lot of us.Brickie wrote:the PM one seems popular for such a dreadful kit...

What colour inside the intakes of a 1970s Mirage 5?
What colour inside the intakes of a 1970s Mirage 5? White? Grey? Silver? Metal? Camo?
I've seen pics of a few where it looks white in there.
Anybody know, please?

Well, thanks for modding, OT! And my apologies for not quite getting mine finished, despite the extension....
