I cut off one of the large wheel bay doors, but wanted to check the net since the instructions said while landed it was flush, and saw on the net it is usally not completely closed. So I went back to glue it on, but it was time for a TV show I watch so I set it down and went and watched the show, when I returned, it was gone! Vanished! I searched for 2 hours through the work area and still could not find it, I'll try again tomorrow if not I will have to fabricate the door, a real pain in the butt.
Your carpet monster has evolved tentacles! :???:

It will turn up once you have made the replacement.

You have the same sort of luck that I have. It had to be one of the curved profile doors that you lost instead of the flat outer one. of course, it will turn up AFTER you've hand crafted a replacement too.

I gave up trying to find the part so its prefab time.

The counterpart to this is needed

The first step is to make a paper template, this is easier to adjust then sheet plastic, after the template is ready I will go to sheet. The door is a little think with different sizes and etching on the interior, so I will use 2 sheets of plastic to make it

Sheet plastic is soft enough to bend, so i started shaping the door around a thin metal xacto knife
Image

Lastly strected sprue isn used to make the raised framework inside the door
Image

The new door is painted silver and is a decent match, since this door will be half closed and will hardly be seen

The doors are finally attached at the correct angle to the airframe, and its hard to tell witch is the replacement. The fuel tanks and missle rails are also added

The missles are finished and attached to the plane

The plane is just about done, only some touch ups needed.
