Should look good when done, is it the Hasegawa mould?

No idea, I just build them as they come. A look at the sprue's may help though.

The kit comprises of 2 sprue's of grey plastic with nicely engraved panel lines:

The canopy comes in two parts and is protected in it's own bag, a nice touch that a lot of manufacturers seem to have picked up on.

It is nice that there aren't too many decals to mess about with. Two colour options are given:

I will be doing the camouflaged option:

Looks nice, and compared to a lot of the other kits in the build, this kit appears a lot better.

That does look very nice. I might get one of those & try to conver it to a South African Cheetah.

Looking forward to seeing this one built. I have a soft spot for that Israeli camo.

Progress has been going well on the build, unfortunately my computer has been playing up, hence the lack of involvement in this GB to date. So to update on events so far.

Research showed that the cockpit of the Kfir is in two shades of grey with black features, so I painted up the interior appropriately and joined up the fuselage:

Image

Although doing this OOB I decided to add seatbelts to the seat made from painted tape. I then painted the inside of the engine intakes white:

Image

The seat was then fitted along with the engine intakes and Canard wings:

Image

The intakes are a good fit, what appears to be a gap is overspill of black paint from where I painted the engine housing face.

There is some really nice detail in the wheel wells, hope I can do them justice.

Image

The fit of the wings at the front is pretty poor. If I built this again I would deviate from the instructions and leave the engine intakes off until the wings were on.

Out with the filler.

Looks a really nice kit. Shame about the fit in places but the detail looks decent.

Construction now complete, with just a slither of filler required in the wing roots:
