It's been three days since more pictures to follow soon. We want to see them! :-D

Quite right. It's been too long. I'm supposed to be GBL but I'm making quite a poor job of it. My excuse is that from Monday to Thursday my day starts at 05.30 and finishes at around 21.00. may get time to post a few comments during that time if I'm working at home. Friday to Sunday I'm playing catch up.

However. That's a very poor excuse. I started this, will finish it, so should see it through properly.

So here we are. I have completed the cockpit:

Painted the chassis. Although that needs more care and attention paid to it.

I will try and keep more up-to-date with everything for the rest of this build.

Great work with the interior. I just realised I forgot to take pics of mine. Oops.
You sound very busy and you're allowed to be. Real life is more important, you're doing a good job as GB leader. Don't sweat about it.
Chill and have a beer instead. ;-)

Nicely done interior. Those are punishing working hours, I bet you're ready for a rest at the weekend!

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!

Too many bits to add to the body that just look like awful add-ons. For the nose the instructions even recommend using some 'body-putty'. No sh..! I'm not sure any amount of filler is going to work here. Although that's more a testament to my lack of skills than anything else.

Image

The fin on the back is just as bad. That's gonna be really awkward to fix. Sure, I can put some filler in there but it's made of 3 parts so when I start sanding it down it's bound to fall apart.

Image

Having said all that, day off tomorrow, I'll give it my best shot!

Ouch, sorry to hear that Narayan.
Think it's the first time I've ever heard of instructions that says use putty!

I have confident in you to overcome this though. ;-)

Seems that the nose moulding is as good a fit as the real ones! (They were somewhat less than perfect in real life). Bad luck mate, but remember, in real life it was a short run homologation special, so accurate panel fit was not top of the agenda at the time (it wasn't that good on a lot of American cars of the 60s and 70s to be honest) so if it comes out a bit wonky, it will be scale and accurate!

Keep at it mate, I'm looking forward to this one!

Getting there!

The body actually fit to the chassis quite well.

How's it going Narayan?

I've managed to finish mine just in time :ha: Looks like yours is coming on well considering all the filling that you've had to do. I expect you'll be up for an early night tonight with your early start tomorrow but it'll be nice to see the finished build ;-)

I'm really not getting on well with this finish! The paint job is nothing short of awful. I tried to remedy that but it's still poor. Anyway, I'm so near the end I'm going to finish it anyway then hide it away! Will be touch and go if I can finish before tomorrow though. Will work from home so I can atleast spend the lunch hour on it.
