A great job there, Splash!!

I think the RAF would be proud to see this scheme on a true British classic :) The heart looks great!

Yes Splash, you're right, there's a lot of shared tooling between Scalextric and Airfix on their 1/32nd range. One of the reasons Airfix could bring out some new 1/32nd cars so quickly is that once joining Hornby they had access to the body shell tools from existing Scalextric models (which currently are a stunningly high standard of finish and detail, take the guide blades out and they could pass as display models), hence your feel for the kit's slot car origins.

This is a superb job mate, it looks tremendous, excellent paintwork, very impressive!

Just a thought as others are painting their interiors like an a/c and I have cheated and painted mine like a Copper, I think I might try and modify the driver/pilots seat into an ejection seat as the racing seat as fitted is a bit bland.

I took a look at the seat and decided that converting it into a bang seat is to ambitious so it looks like it will just get tape seat belts.

With such a stunning paint scheme the interior detailing could get lost.

Simply fantastic! Nice touch with the seat belts.
How will you paint the mirrors?

I'm not sure do you think they will look better as white or red or black?

I'd go with black or white to have them differ from the body.

Personally, I'd go red. Make them less obvious.
Car looks very nice Splash.

Lovely Splash. Personally I'd go with black.
