Sissels Anniversary Aston Martin ** FINISHED **
I got this kit off Ebay at a slighty higher price than it would have cost me in my usual online shops. But it was fun bidding.
It will be built in the scheme of the F-16 Norwegian Anniversary Edition (100 years anniversary for Norwegian Aviation, 30 years since first F-16 in Norway). A plane I will build next year.

Re: Sissels Norwegian Anniversary Aston Martin
That's a nice, bright and relatively straightforward scheme.
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

Re: Sissels Norwegian Anniversary Aston Martin
You say that like it's a bad thing!
No really, decided on this early on as I really like the scheme. Hope the red and white will brush on okay, and that masking will be successful. My worst fear is my pots being nearly empty, hope there's enough paint!
Also hope the roundals will fit. I've not opened the kit yet.

Nice choice Sissel, the red White & blue will give it an English look.

Given it's a Norse scheme.

I just checked and the 1/48 roundal will fit just barely on the side of the car. Hope to start these end of month.

Classic British bulldog of a car Sissel, very James Bond-y I think it will look good in the scheme that you have chosen. All the best countries have red, white and blue in their flags you know

A Norse Aston! Very cool. Not so much an Aston Martin DB5, more like Aston Martin NO5
(NO is the international abbreviation for Norway isn't it?)

Have no idea how the fit of the kit is, but in this case I do like there being so few parts. I've never built a car in this scale before, am used to 1/24-25. So this will be different. Surprised at how small it appears. No problem brush painting in this scale.

Obligatory sprue shot. Never built a car with so few parts, will be a delight if fit is okay. Flash cleaning needed!
Hope to start tomorrow.

This is a classic kit that Airfix should re-tool.
The DB5's smooth lines will look good in stripes, what's your cunning plan, are you building then painting or paint first then assemble?
