Excellent interior work.
The floor looks great and so does IP, I mean dashboard. Colors look very natural together.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Looking great there, Tim!

The camo really seems to suit the Mini and the dashboard looks great too. Did you hand paint the speedo in the middle there or did you use a decal?

Thanks for the comments. I've got some more decals so there should be an update in the next day or two.

Miss-Stang, the speedometer isa decal, there's no way I'd be able to paint it as well as that.

I painted the floor with gloss varnish, covered it with the flocking powder and pressed it down with my fingers. When the varnish dried I just tipped off the excess. It was only my second attempt at it so I'm pleased with how it turned out.

That's it, the next Sun front page headline! :-D

Sure beats 'Freddie Starr ate my hamster' :ha:

Seriously though, that interior looks super, really nice work there. Loving this so far.

I've made some progress over the last couple of days. The decals are on, the headlamps fitted and I've made a start painting the window surrounds.

I have lost one of the door mirrors but I do have a plan to make replacements from a couple of 1/72 bomb and rocket parts. ;-)

Looks great. Your door mirror plan sounds interesting.

Thanks for the comments. :)

After looking at the Mossie's bombs I decided they were too small for the door mirrors so I ended up cutting the ends off a pair of Hurricane underwing tanks. After covering the open ends with plastic sheet I drilled holes in them and inserted the mounting arms, which are made from Sea Fury rockets. I don't think they look too bad for a first attempt at custom mirrors.

Image

They just need a coat of paint and the arms trimming to length then they'll be ready to fit.

All the sub assemblies are done so I should be finished soon. I decided to make a replacement brake pedal to replace the one eaten by the carpet monster.

Looks great Tim, handy having a lift-off roof for accessibility. I'm really liking this build.
